It is an exciting time for curriculum at Easton Arts Academy Elementary Charter School.  We are currently reviewing new curriculum options for the 2024-25 school year and beyond, and our committee is embracing the task with incredible passion and vigor.

Our current core curriculum provider is Savvas (contract is up at the end of the 2024 school year), spanning ELA/Reading, Math, Science, and Social Studies classes.  As a school committee, we are considering the following questions/criteria (and more) as we review new providers moving forward:

Does it represent all demographics of students?

Is it CCSS aligned?

Does it support the research-based Science of Reading approach?

Does it have an aligned scope and sequence (vertical, horizontal)?

Is there an online component?

What level of cross-curricular opportunities are there?

What is the quality of the formative and summative assessments?

Does the Science portion use NGSS standards?

Does the program offer differentiation opportunities at all levels?

Does it offer authentic tasks for the students?

Does it help students foster executive functioning skills?

Does it provide modeling of cognitive development moments/skills?

What support does it provide for ELD students?

What support does it provide for students with an IEP?

In addition to our core curriculum, we use several programs to support the students and their learning.  You can find a list of these programs in the subsections under the academics tab.

We will update the site with the new curriculum program information when it has been approved and finalized for the 2024-25 school year and beyond.  Stay tuned!
